On 13 February 2023, Volksbank Gera e.G. opened a new self-service location in the “Otto Dix Passage” with a total rental area of approximately 20 square metres. About a week ago, ARCADIA Investment Group handed over the keys to the cooperative bank for the expansion of the self-service location. The lease agreement for the operation of an automated banking location was concluded with a fixed term of ten years. Volksbank e.G. Gera Jena Rudolstadt thus opens its sixth location in Gera in the city centre.

Already in April 2018, an investment company of ARCADIA Investment Group had acquired the shopping centre, built in 2003, with a rental area of more than 14,000 square metres and announced plans for an expansion and conversion. ARCADIA has been revitalising the former shopping centre since the beginning of September 2020. The general contractor for the conversion of the “Otto Dix Passage” is Prehn Bauprojektmanagement GmbH from Lubmin. The newly designed shopping mall has approximately 16,500 square metres of usable space, meets modern building standards designed for sustainability and accommodates an attractive mix of tenants from different types of use. The sustainability and quality of the property has already been confirmed by the German Sustainable Building Council with the DGNB platinum certificate.
