ARCADIA sells shares in Neubrandenburg’s “Marien Carrée”
The ARCADIA Investment Group has sold its shares in the inner-city shopping arcade “Marien Carrée” at Treptower Straße 1 in Neubrandenburg to one of the co-owners. The sale resulted from the Hamburg family office’s wish to keep the property in family ownership in the long term. The parties to the contract agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
With the “Marien Carrée”, the project partners developed several building sections with a total rental area of around 6,300 square metres on a plot of land measuring around 7,000 square metres. After a construction period of around two years, the first two construction phases were completed and the entire complex in prime city location was ceremoniously opened in July 2019.
In addition to the fashion retailer New Yorker, the drugstore dm, OLYMP&HADES and TK Maxx, Neubrandenburg’s public utility company and the wellness and cosmetics store Rituals are also represented in the “Marien Carrée”. To round off the new tenant mix, the property also houses a nail salon, two gastronomic establishments and a bakery. At present, it is still unclear what is to be built on the southern section of the “Marien Carrée“. The majority owners are currently in detailed talks with representatives of the city.
