ARCADIA acquires 60,470 square metre development site in Halle

Through its subsidiary ARCILOG Industrial & Logistics GmbH, the property developer ARCADIA Investment Group has acquired a development site of approximately 60,470 square metres in the west of Halle (Saale). The site is located in the Halle-Neustadt commercial and industrial area on Porphyrstraße and is built up with warehouses and production halls of the former Halle-Neustadt panel factory, which opened in 1964. The seller of the property is the Leipzig-based VICUS Group AG.

Due to its excellent location on the B80 main road and the connection to nationwide long-distance traffic via the A143 motorway, the area is ideally suited as a location for manufacturing industry as well as for warehousing and logistics. In particular, the “Westumfahrung Halle (Saale)” ring road, which is already under construction and is expected to connect the A38 Südharz motorway with the A14 airport bypass from 2025, was one of the decision-making criteria for the acquisition and the upcoming development. After comprehensive clearing of the site, the old buildings are to be demolished and replaced by large-scale new buildings. ARCADIA is already conducting conceptual talks with potential users from the logistics and commercial sectors. There is also interest in an expansion of the site through the acquisition of neighbouring properties.
