At this year’s Expo Real in Munich, ARCADIA Investment Group received the DGNB Platinum pre-certificate for the project “Conversion of the Löhr’s Eck office building” at Löhrstraße 17 in Leipzig. The DGNB’s highest award underlines the sociocultural, functional, and economic quality of the office building, the sustainability and quality of the building fabric and the conversion measures.

The property developer ARCADIA had already acquired the commercial property in Leipzig’s inner city ring road from VICUS Group AG in autumn 2020. ARCADIA’s future headquarters is in the direct vicinity of the head office of Sparkasse Leipzig, The Westin Leipzig hotel and the future headquarters of Sächsische Aufbaubank (SAB).

After completion, “Löhr’s Eck” will have around 5,200 square metres of rental space. The company’s planning and construction, marketing, sales, and administration departments will move into the upper floors. The financing subsidiary and the residential subsidiary will be in the shops on the ground floor. In the future, the employees of the group of companies can look forward to modern and innovative office space with generous communication and creative areas, a fitness area, an outdoor terrace, an underground car park as well as outdoor parking spaces for a total of 46 cars.

German Sustainable Building Council

The German Sustainable Building Council – DGNB e.V. develops and promotes ways and solutions for sustainable planning, construction and use of buildings. The certification system developed by the DGNB serves to objectively describe and evaluate the sustainability of buildings and neighbourhoods. It evaluates the overall performance of a building over its entire life cycle, considering ecological and economic quality, socio-cultural and functional quality, technical quality, process quality and location quality. If these criteria are met in an outstanding manner, a building receives a certificate or pre-certificate in silver, bronze, gold, or platinum. The DGNB certification system is constantly being developed and adapted to national and international standards and legislation.
