ARCADIA acquires development site in Leipzig Lindenau

Through its subsidiary ARCILOG Industrial & Logistics GmbH, the property developer ARCADIA Investment Group has acquired an approximately 14,600 square metre development site in Leipzig that is currently in commercial use. The commercial site is located at Plautstraße 38 in the west of Leipzig and is built up with warehouses and production halls of a former foundry, whose individual buildings have been partially refurbished and modernised. The seller of the property is a private investor from southern Germany. The transaction was brokered by Leipzig-based Neuraum Immobilien, Lange & Riczisi GbR. The parties to the contract agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

The neighbourhood is currently in a state of flux and has excellent connections to the B87 and B181 main roads as well as direct access to the local public transport system. The addition of the adjacent food retail market and the expansion of the commercial areas, but also a residential conversion, could complement the neighbourhood in a future-oriented way. ARCADIA is currently assessing the feasibility of the various utilisation concepts.
