The Leipzig ARCADIA Investment Group and the Hamburg Achim Griese Treuhandgesellschaft mbH – jointly with Silvo Witt, the chief mayor of Neubrandenburg – laid the cornerstone for their new Marien-Carrée development project at 1 Treptower Straße on 26 September. ARCADIA has recently boosted the retail occupancy rate of the centre by around 70 per cent with the leasing of some 2,000 m² to an internationally operating fashion retailer. The project partners have estimated the completion of the first shops to coincide with the 2018 Christmas trade.

The fully-integrated inner city commercial premises boasts multiple buildings with a total rental space of around 21,000 m² on a 7,000 m² property. In addition to the above-mentioned fashion retailer, who wishes to remain anonymous at this time, we have secured the dm health and beauty retailer, the New Yorker fashion retailer and the Neubrandenburg Stadtwerke (municipal works). A total rental area of around 8,000 m² is available to the retail trade – some of which is spread over two levels. The gap between the ECE’s Marktplatz Centre and Turmstraße will be closed by the creation of high-end retail spaces with over 100 meters of display windows facing the very best location in the city. The shops are complemented by a car park and tentatively a supermarket in the southern part of the property.

ARCADIA Investment Group will also be displaying a model of the Marien-Carrée at their B1.444 stand at the real estate trade fair EXPO REAL which takes place in Munich from 4 – 6 October. The EXPO REAL is regarded as the most important trade fair for commercial property in Europe
